The New Year is upon us and the warm weather will be here
before we know it. Over the last couple of months we have
had some great events at the lodge. I hope you enjoyed each
one. Our Christmas and New Years dance were a great
success and we had a great time, a big thanks to everyone
who pitched in to cook the meals for these events and to
those who cleaned up the mess after the fun was over. We
have only a few people now who have the time or the ability
to help with these events. If you haven’t been out to the
lodge in a while you need to come by on Fridays for a nice
steak meal, we have been having a good crowd on Fridays
and we would love to see you out with us. February and
March brings a lot of big times at the lodge so check your
calendar for up coming events you would like to attend. In
March we will be hosting the Moose Legion ritual school and
will have ritualist from all over the east coast, if you want to
see some good competition you are welcome to come and
watch, it will be two days, Saturday and Sunday so there will
be a time for everybody to drop in. Also in March Darryl
Harwood will be playing at the lodge again and we are
looking forward to his return, we had a great turn out the last
time he was here and the lodge really had a great night.
Mark your calendars for this one you don’t want to miss it.
March also brings the nominating committee up so if you
are interested in leading this lodge please start coming to
our Monday night meetings and get your feet wet. We will
need new leaders to take over in May, that’s only a couple of
months away. I hope the new year is treating each of you
good and I look forward to seeing you real soon at the lodge.
